Getting There

  • Bus

    From Trieste city center, walk to the main bus station located at Piazza della Libertà. Board the bus line 36 headed towards 'Duino'. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Duino' stop. From there, walk for about 10 minutes along Via Duino until you reach Frazione Duino, where Duino Castle is located at number 32.

  • Train and Walk

    From Trieste Centrale train station, take a train towards 'Monfalcone' and get off at 'Duino-Aurisina' station, which is about a 15-minute ride. Once you arrive, exit the station and walk for approximately 20 minutes along Via Duino. Follow the signs to Frazione Duino, and you will reach Duino Castle at number 32.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bike in Trieste and head towards the coast. Follow the cycling path along the waterfront towards Duino. The ride is scenic and will take about 1 hour. Upon reaching Duino, keep an eye out for signs directing you to Duino Castle, located at Frazione Duino, 32.
