    Getting There

    Bus

    From Trieste, head to the main bus station, Autostazione Trieste, located at Piazza della Libertà. Look for the bus lines heading towards Portorož. Buses such as the TPL line frequently travel this route. Once on the bus, enjoy the scenic ride which takes about 1 hour. Get off at the stop for Portorož, and from there, it’s about a 20-minute walk to Nature Reserve Strunjan. Head south on Strunjan Road until you reach Strunjan 99.

    Train and Bus

    Take a train from Trieste Centrale railway station to the nearest station, which is either Koper or Piran. Once you arrive at Koper, transfer to a local bus that heads towards Portorož. After arriving in Portorož, walk south towards Strunjan. The Nature Reserve is located at Strunjan 99, which is about a 20-minute walk from the bus stop.

    Walking

    If you are already in Portorož, start from the main beachfront area. Walk towards the direction of Strunjan, following the coastal path. The Nature Reserve Strunjan is located approximately 2 km away. It should take about 30 minutes to walk there. Enjoy the views of the sea as you go along the promenade until you reach Strunjan 99.
