Getting there

Train

From Pisa Centrale train station, purchase a ticket to Montecatini Terme. Trains run frequently, approximately every 30 minutes. Make sure to check the schedule on the Trenitalia website or at the station. Once on the train, enjoy the scenic ride which takes about 30-40 minutes. Upon arrival at Montecatini Terme station, exit the station and head towards the nearest bus stop or taxi rank to continue your journey to Montecatini Alto.

Bus

From the center of Pisa, walk to the nearest bus stop for the CTT bus line. You can take bus number 18 or 19 towards Montecatini Terme. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Montecatini Terme, you can either walk up to Montecatini Alto (which is about a 30-minute uphill walk) or take a funicular from the town center to the hilltop for a more scenic and relaxing ride.

Walking

If you're feeling adventurous and are already in Montecatini Terme, you can walk to Montecatini Alto. From the town center, head towards Via Roma and follow the signs for Montecatini Alto. The walk is approximately 5 km and will take about 1 hour. The route is mostly uphill, so be prepared for a bit of a workout. Along the way, enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.
