From the center of Assisi, start at Piazza del Comune. Head northeast on Via Giuseppe Mazzini. Continue straight for about 600 meters until you reach the intersection with Via San Francesco. Turn left onto Via San Francesco and follow it as it curves right into Via San Damiano. Continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the base of Monte Tezio.
