Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Aosta, the main city in the region. Take the SS26 road in the direction of Courmayeur. After approximately 15 km, take the exit for the A5 motorway towards Torino. Continue on the A5 for about 30 km and take the exit at Pont Saint Martin. Once you exit, follow the signs for the SP1 road towards Valtournenche/Val d'Aosta. Continue on this road for about 10 km until you see signs for Pont d'Aël. There is a parking area near the site, which is accessible for a small fee.
Public Transportation
To reach Pont d'Aël using public transportation, start at the Aosta bus station. Take a bus towards Courmayeur or Pont Saint Martin (check local schedules as they may vary). You will need to disembark at the stop closest to the village of Pondel. From there, it is a 15-20 minute walk to Pont d'Aël. Make sure to check the bus schedules in advance as they may not run frequently, especially on weekends.
Walking
If you are staying in Pondel, you can walk to Pont d'Aël. The distance is approximately 2 km from the village center. Follow the local paths that lead directly to the site. The walk is scenic and should take around 25-30 minutes.
