Car
If you are driving from the center of Mals, head southeast on Via della Stazione toward Via dei Giardini. Continue onto Via delle Capelle, then turn right onto the SS40. Follow this road for approximately 12 km. Look for signs leading to Watles, and turn left onto SP36. Continue on SP36 until you reach the parking area at the foot of Watles. The drive takes about 30 minutes from Mals.
Public Transportation
To reach Watles using public transportation, start from Mals. Take the bus from Mals to the nearest stop for the Watles cable car. You can catch the bus at the main bus station in Mals, which is located on Via della Stazione. The bus ride will take around 30-40 minutes, and be sure to check the timetable in advance as the frequency may vary. Once you arrive at the cable car station, you will need to purchase a ticket to take the cable car up to Watles. The cable car ticket costs approximately €10 for a round trip.
