    If you are driving to the Abbey of Monte Maria, start by heading towards the town of Mals (Malles Venosta). From the main road SS40, take the exit to Mals. Follow the signs towards Schlinig. Continue on the road until you reach Schlinig 1, where the Abbey is located. There is a parking area near the Abbey. Be aware that the roads can be narrow and winding, especially as you approach the Abbey.
