Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Valtellina. Head south on SS38 towards Breno. Continue on SS38 for approximately 30 km until you reach the town of Breno. Once in Breno, follow the signs for Località Spinera. The sanctuary is located about 5 km from the town center. There is a small parking area near the sanctuary, so you'll have easy access once you arrive.
Public Transportation
For those relying on public transportation, take a train from your location in Valtellina to the Breno train station. The journey may require a transfer, so check the schedule ahead of time. Once you arrive at Breno station, you can take a local bus (Bus Line X) that operates towards Località Spinera. The bus stop is close to the train station. Ensure to check the bus timings, as they may not run frequently. The bus ride will take about 15-20 minutes, and you will need to walk approximately 1 km from the bus stop to the Minerva Sanctuary.
Walking
If you enjoy hiking, you can also opt for a scenic walk from Breno to the Minerva Sanctuary. Starting from the center of Breno, head southwest on Via Roma until you reach Via Spinera. Follow this road uphill for about 2 km, enjoying the beautiful panoramic views along the way. The walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on your pace. This is a great way to experience the natural surroundings and local culture.
