Travel Guide to Campo de la Carità

Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving to Campo de la Carità, take the A4 motorway towards Venice. Follow the signs for 'Venezia' and take the exit for 'Venezia Centro.' Once you enter the city, follow the signs for 'Piazzale Roma.' Parking is available at Piazzale Roma, but be aware that it may be expensive, around €25-€30 per day. From Piazzale Roma, you can either walk or take a water bus (Vaporetto) to your destination.

• Public Transportation (Train)

  If you're traveling by train, arrive at Venezia Santa Lucia station. Once you exit the station, walk to the Vaporetto stop located just outside. Take line 1 or line 2 towards 'San Marco' and get off at the 'Accademia' stop. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk to Campo de la Carità. Walk across the Accademia Bridge, then turn right onto Calle della Carità, and you'll find your destination at number 20.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  If you're coming from nearby towns or the Venice mainland, you can take a bus to Piazzale Roma. From Piazzale Roma, either walk to Campo de la Carità (approximately 20 minutes) or take the Vaporetto. For the Vaporetto, board line 1 or 2 and disembark at 'Accademia.' Then follow the walking directions provided in the train section.

• Walking

  If you are already in Venice and near the Grand Canal, you can enjoy a scenic walk to Campo de la Carità. From the Rialto Bridge, head south along the Grand Canal towards the Accademia Bridge. Cross the bridge, then turn right onto Calle della Carità. It's about a 15-20 minute walk from the Rialto Bridge.
