Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the famous St. Mark's Square (Piazza San Marco), exit the square and head towards the water along the Piazzetta dei Leoncini. Continue walking along the waterfront until you reach the Ponte della Paglia bridge. Cross the bridge and keep heading straight, following the path along the canal. You will eventually reach a fork in the path. Take the left-hand path and continue walking until you reach the intersection with the Calle del Fabbri. Turn right onto Calle del Fabbri and continue until you reach the next intersection where you will turn left. Continue straight, and soon you will arrive at Rio dell'Orso.

  • Vaporetto

    From the Rialto Bridge (Ponte di Rialto), walk to the vaporetto stop located at the base of the bridge. Board the Vaporetto Line 1 towards 'Giudecca'. After a few stops, disembark at the 'San Tomà' stop. Once you exit the vaporetto, turn left and follow the Calle San Tomà. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Calle del Fabbri. Turn right, then left at the next intersection, and continue walking straight until you reach Rio dell'Orso.

    If you are near the Accademia Gallery, exit the gallery and head towards the Accademia Bridge (Ponte dell'Accademia). Cross the bridge and turn left as you exit onto the other side of the Grand Canal. Continue walking straight along the Calle della Carità, and then turn right onto Calle della Commedia. Follow the street until you reach the intersection with the Calle del Fabbri. Turn left, and then take the first right, which will lead you to Rio dell'Orso.
