If you are starting from the iconic St. Mark's Square (Piazza San Marco), head towards the waterfront (Riva degli Schiavoni). Walk along the waterfront until you reach the Ponte della Paglia bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight to the Campo Santa Maria Formosa. From there, follow the signs towards Via Garibaldi. Once on Via Garibaldi, keep walking until you reach the intersection with Piazza Umberto I, where the Colourful bricked house is located.

If you are near the Rialto Bridge, start by heading southeast on Salizzada Pio X. Continue straight until you reach the Campo San Bartolomeo, then take the first left onto Calle dei Fabbri. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Calle della Bissa, then turn right. Follow this street as it winds until you reach Via Garibaldi. Turn left and continue until you arrive at Piazza Umberto I, home to the Colourful bricked house.

From the Santa Lucia Train Station, exit onto Lista di Spagna, then walk towards the Grand Canal. Take the ferry at the Ferrovia stop to San Marco. Once you arrive at San Marco, follow the waterfront path (Riva degli Schiavoni) as described earlier, or head towards Via Garibaldi after reaching the Campo Santa Maria Formosa. This will lead you to Piazza Umberto I, where the Colourful bricked house is located.

If you are coming from the Gallerie dell'Accademia, exit the gallery and head towards the Accademia Bridge. Cross the bridge and turn left onto the main street (Dorsoduro). Walk straight until you reach the intersection with the Grand Canal again, and take a left. Follow the canal until you reach the area around Campo Santa Maria Formosa, then proceed to Via Garibaldi and follow it to Piazza Umberto I.
