Travel Guide to Campo San Piero de Casteo

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are already in the Castello neighborhood, you can easily reach Campo San Piero de Casteo by walking. Start at the nearest vaporetto stop, such as 'Arsenale'. From there, head southeast along the waterfront promenade (Riva degli Schiavoni). Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Calle della Pietà. Turn left onto Calle della Pietà and walk straight until you reach the end of the street, where it merges into Salizzada San Lio. Continue straight until you see the small square of Campo San Piero de Casteo on your right.

• Vaporetto

  If you are farther away in Venice, take the vaporetto (water bus) to the nearest stop to Castello, such as 'Arsenale' or 'San Zaccaria'. From either stop, follow the walking directions provided above. A single ticket for the vaporetto costs €7.50, and you can purchase tickets from the vending machines at the vaporetto stops.

• Public Transport - Bus

  While buses do not operate in the historic center of Venice, if you are arriving from mainland Venice, you can take a bus to Piazzale Roma and then transfer to the vaporetto service to reach either 'Arsenale' or 'San Zaccaria'. From Piazzale Roma, take Line 1 or 2 to reach your desired vaporetto stop. Remember to buy your bus ticket in advance; prices vary based on distance.
