Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are near the Rialto Bridge, head south towards the Grand Canal. From the bridge, take the first right onto Calle dei Fabbri. Continue straight, and you will come to a junction. Take the left onto Calle dei Stagneri, which will lead you to a larger square. Once you reach the square, take a right onto the Via XXII Marzo, which will take you directly to St. Mark's Square. You will see the iconic basilica and the campanile as you approach.

    If you are coming from the Accademia Gallery, exit the gallery and turn left onto the Rio di San Vio. Follow this canal until you reach the Grand Canal. Cross the Grand Canal using the Accademia Bridge. Once on the other side, head straight onto Campo San Stefano. Continue straight through the square and take the exit that leads you onto Calle della Malvasia. This will bring you to Piazzo San Marco, where you will see St. Mark's Square ahead.

    From Santa Lucia Train Station, exit the station and head towards the Grand Canal. Turn right and walk along the canal until you reach the Ferrovia Vaporetto stop. Take Vaporetto Line 1 towards Lido, and get off at the San Marco - Vallaresso stop. From there, walk straight onto Via XXII Marzo, which leads directly to St. Mark's Square.

    If you are in the Cannaregio district, head south towards Strada Nuova. Walk along Strada Nuova until you reach the Rialto Bridge. Once at the bridge, follow the same walking directions as mentioned above from the Rialto Bridge to St. Mark's Square.
