Isola del Garda: A Serene Island Escape

Getting There

• Ferry

  From Verona, make your way to the ferry terminal at Bardolino, which is approximately 40 km away. You can take a train from Verona Porta Nuova to Bardolino (approximately 1 hour). Once you arrive at Bardolino, follow the signs to the ferry terminal located along the lakefront. Board the ferry to Isola del Garda; the journey will take around 30-45 minutes. Make sure to check the ferry schedule in advance to plan your trip.

• Train and Bus

  Start at Verona Porta Nuova train station and take a train to Desenzano del Garda. This train ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Desenzano del Garda, exit the train station and catch the bus (Line 26) towards Salò. Get off at the stop for San Felice del Benaco. From there, you can either walk to the lakeside where you can catch a ferry to Isola del Garda or check local options for boat rentals if you wish to explore further.

• Bus

  From Verona, take the bus from the Verona bus station to Salò, which takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Upon arriving in Salò, you can find the ferry terminal along the lakeside promenade. Board the ferry to Isola del Garda, which operates regularly throughout the day. Be sure to confirm the ferry timings beforehand to avoid long waits.
