Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Versilia (e.g., Forte dei Marmi). Head northwest on Viale della Repubblica towards Via Roma. Merge onto the A12 motorway, following signs for Livorno. After approximately 10 km, take the exit for Pietrasanta. Continue on Via Aurelia towards Pietrasanta. Once you arrive in Pietrasanta, follow signs for 'Centro' and then for 'Museo dei Bozzetti'. The museum is located at Via Sant' Agostino, 55045 Pietrasanta LU. There is street parking available nearby, but be sure to check for parking regulations to avoid fines.
Public Transportation (Train)
To reach Museo dei Bozzetti using public transportation, take a train from the nearest train station, such as Forte dei Marmi-Seravezza-Querceta. Board a train towards Lucca or Viareggio and alight at Pietrasanta station. The journey takes about 15 minutes. From the station, exit and head southwest on Viale Duca della Vittoria. Continue straight to Via Sant' Agostino. The museum is approximately a 15-minute walk from the station. Be mindful of the train schedule and purchase a ticket at the station, which costs around €2-4.
Public Transportation (Bus)
If you prefer to take a bus, look for the local bus service that operates in the Versilia area, such as the CTT Nord service. From Forte dei Marmi, catch the bus towards Pietrasanta. The bus will take approximately 30 minutes to reach the main bus station in Pietrasanta. From the bus station, walk southeast along Via della Repubblica, then turn left onto Via Sant' Agostino. The museum is located at your destination. Make sure to check the bus schedule for return times and have €1.50 (one way) for the bus fare.
