    If you are driving from a location within the John Crow Mountains, head towards the A4 highway. Once you reach the A4, follow the signs for Port Antonio. Continue on the A4 until you reach the intersection at the town of Buff Bay. At this point, turn left onto the B1 road towards Port Antonio. Stay on this road for approximately 15 km (9 miles) until you see signs for the Rio Grande River. The river will be on your right, and there are several parking areas available along the road.

    To reach Rio Grande via public transportation, look for a bus or minibus heading to Port Antonio from your location in the John Crow Mountains. Ask the driver to drop you off at Buff Bay, where you will need to transfer to another bus heading to Port Antonio. Once in Buff Bay, you can catch a minibus that will take you to the Rio Grande area. Make sure to inform the driver to drop you off near the river.
