Car
If you are driving from Ocho Rios, take the A3 road towards Kingston. After about 25 minutes, look for the sign indicating Kellits. Take the exit towards Kellits and continue on the road for approximately 10 minutes. You will pass through the town of Kellits. As you exit the town, turn onto Unnamed Road (you may need to ask locals for directions as it may not be clearly marked). Continue on this road for about 5 to 10 minutes until you arrive at Tacky Falls. There is limited parking available near the falls.
Public Transportation
To reach Tacky Falls using public transportation, first make your way to the main bus terminal in Ocho Rios. Look for a bus or a minibus heading to Kellits. The fare is usually around JMD 300-500. Once you reach Kellits, ask the driver to drop you off near the Unnamed Road leading to Tacky Falls. From there, it’s a short walk (approximately 15 minutes) along the road to the falls. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes as the path might be uneven.
Taxi
For a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from your location in North Coast to Tacky Falls. This option is more convenient but will be more expensive, with rates typically ranging from JMD 3000 to JMD 5000 depending on your starting point. Ensure to agree on a price before starting the journey. The taxi driver will take you directly to the entrance of Tacky Falls, and you can arrange for them to wait for you or return at a specified time.
Walking
If you are staying nearby Kellits, walking to Tacky Falls is a viable option. From the center of Kellits, head towards Unnamed Road. The walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes depending on your pace. Be sure to carry water and wear appropriate clothing, as the route can be quite warm and sunny.
