This hidden gem offers a refreshing escape from the more crowded tourist spots, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the tranquility of untouched natural beauty. The falls are located on the Breadnut Valley Estate, which has a history dating back to the 1700s and 1800s when it operated as a sugar estate. Today, the privately-owned estate serves as a venue for events like weddings and parties, adding a touch of rustic charm to the already picturesque surroundings. The journey to the falls involves a short hike through the verdant forest, where the sounds of rushing water guide you to the cascades. The main waterfall flows into a stunning blue pool, perfect for a refreshing dip. Some may find it challenging to get to the falls, but it is all worth it. There are actually three waterfalls, each offering its own unique charm. The lowest level features multiple streams of varying sizes, with the base lined with sizeable river stones. The water here provides a great aqua back massage. The deepest pool has hypnotizing turquoise water surrounded by large rocks, fallen trunks and greenery. It is not recommended for non-skilled swimmers. The chill pool is a calm pond that looks like it is in the middle of a rainforest. It's also a good idea to enlist the help of a local guide, who can lead you to the best spots and share insights about the area. Remember to bring your own food, drinks, and swimwear, as there are no facilities on-site.
