Getting There

• Car

  If you have access to a car, head towards the main road in St. Thomas Lowlands. From the center of St. Thomas, take the A4 road heading towards Morant Bay. Continue on this road for about 15 minutes. Once you reach the junction at the Old Harbour Road, turn left and follow the signs for Rio Minho River. The river is located approximately 5 minutes down this road. Look for parking areas along the riverbank.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Rio Minho River using public transportation, find a local bus or taxi service that operates along the route from St. Thomas Lowlands to Morant Bay. Board a bus heading towards Morant Bay and inform the driver that you want to go to Rio Minho River. The fare is typically around JMD 150-200. After about 20-30 minutes, you will arrive at the stop near the river. From there, you may need to walk for about 10 minutes to reach the riverbank.

• Walking

  If you are already in close proximity to Rio Minho River, you can walk to the destination by following local paths. Ensure you have a map or ask locals for the best route. Always prioritize safety and walk during daylight hours. Keep an eye out for signs directing you toward the river.
