Getting There

    If you are in Katsuyama, you can walk to Mt. Awa. Follow the signs towards the mountain from the main road. The trailhead is about 2 km from Katsuyama center, a 30-minute walk. Wear comfortable shoes as the path may be uneven.

  • Public Transport

    To reach Mt. Awa by public transport, take a bus from the Awa Bus Terminal towards Nago or Katsuyama. The journey takes about 45 minutes. Get off at the Katsuyama bus stop, and walk about 20 minutes to the trailhead. Check the bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited on weekends. Bus fare is approximately ¥1200-¥1500.
