If you are driving from Awaji, take the Awaji Highway towards the Sannomiya area. Use Route 28 to cross the Akashi Kaikyō Bridge and continue on Route 2 toward Wakayama. There is parking available nearby, but be prepared to pay a parking fee, typically around 500-1000 yen depending on the location.

To reach Wakayama Castle using public transportation, start by taking the bus from Awaji Island to Sannomiya Station in Kobe. From Sannomiya Station, take the JR Hanwa Line train to Wakayama Station. The train journey takes about 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Wakayama Station, exit the station and look for the bus terminal. From there, take the Wakayama City Bus (Bus No. 100 or 200) towards 'Wakayama Castle.' The bus ride will take around 10 minutes. The fare is approximately 210 yen. The castle is a short walk from the bus stop.
