If you're driving, start from central Kamakura. Head northwest on Komachi Street towards the main road. Turn left onto Route 134 and continue straight for about 1 kilometer. Then, take the exit toward Kamakura City Hall. Merge onto Route 21 (Kamakura Avenue) and continue for about 2 kilometers. Turn right onto Ōmachi Street, and Joei-ji will be on your left at 1 Chome-12-11 Ōmachi.
Public Transportation
For those using public transport, start at Kamakura Station. Take the JR Yokosuka Line and disembark at Kamakura Station. From the station, exit to the East and head towards the bus terminal. Take Kanagawa Chuo Kotsu Bus Route 21 towards Kamakura City Hall. Get off at the Ōmachi bus stop. Walk back about 200 meters; Joei-ji will be on your right at 1 Chome-12-11 Ōmachi.
