Car
If you're driving from central Bungo, head southwest on Route 210. Continue on Route 210 for approximately 20 kilometers. You will reach a junction; take a left onto Route 57 towards Bungoono. After about 10 kilometers, turn right onto Prefectural Route 42. Follow this road for about 15 kilometers until you see signs for Taizako Canyon. The canyon will be on your left, and there is parking available nearby.
Public Transportation
Start at Bungo City Station. Take the JR Nippo Line towards Oita and get off at Bungoono Station (approximately 30 minutes). From Bungoono Station, you will need to take a local bus. Board the bus heading to Ogatamachi Oharu; the ride will take about 20 minutes. Get off at the Taizako Canyon bus stop. From here, it is a short walk to the canyon entrance.
Taxi
For a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Bungoono Station. The drive to Taizako Canyon takes about 20 minutes and will cost approximately 3,000 to 4,000 yen, depending on traffic.
