From Bungo, get on Route 10 heading north. Drive for approximately 45 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 276. Turn onto Route 276 and continue for about 25 kilometers. You will then see signs for Shikotsu-Tōya National Park. Follow the signs, and you will arrive at the park entrance. Be prepared for parking fees which can be around 500 yen.

Begin your journey at Bungo Station. Take a train on the JR Kyushu Line towards Hakata. Change trains at Oita Station and take the Limited Express to Sapporo.
