Getting There

Car
If you are driving, head south on Route 10 from the center of Buzen. Follow signs towards Beppu for approximately 30 kilometers. After entering Beppu, continue straight until you reach the intersection with Route 210. Turn left onto Route 210 and follow it for about 5 kilometers. Look for signs for the Hells of Beppu (Jigoku) and turn right onto Kannawa Yamanaka Road. The Hells of Beppu will be on your right at 559-1 Kannawa. There is parking available on-site.

Public Transportation
To reach the Hells of Beppu by public transport, begin by taking a bus from Buzen to Beppu Station. Look for the bus that indicates 'Beppu' on the front. The journey takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Beppu Station, transfer to the local bus service heading to the Hells of Beppu. The bus stop is right outside the station. Board the bus and enjoy a scenic ride for around 20 minutes until you reach the 'Jigoku' bus stop. From the bus stop, it’s a short walk to the entrance of Hells of Beppu, located at 559-1 Kannawa.
