Car
If you are driving, start from Chikugo city center and head towards Route 3. Follow Route 3 until you reach the junction with Route 202. Turn left onto Route 202 and continue straight. After approximately 30 minutes, you will enter Fukuoka city. Continue straight until you see signs for Hakata Ward. Once in Hakata, look for signs directing you to Hakata Station. Jotenji is located at 1 Chome-29-9 Hakata Ekimae, just a short walk from the station. There is parking available nearby, but it can be limited, so plan accordingly.
Public Transportation
To reach Jotenji via public transportation, first make your way to Chikugo Station. From there, take a train on the Nishitetsu Tenjin Omuta Line towards Fukuoka. The journey to Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive, transfer to the Fukuoka City Subway at Tenjin Station and take the Kuko Line towards Hakata Station. It is just one stop away. After getting off at Hakata Station, exit the station and walk towards Hakata Ekimae. Jotenji is located at 1 Chome-29-9 Hakata Ekimae, which is about a 10-minute walk from the station.
