Car
If you're traveling by car from central Chikugo, head west on Route 3 towards Fukuoka. Follow the signs for Fukuoka, and take the exit for Route 202 toward Hakata. Continue on Route 202, and keep an eye out for signs directing you to Hakata Station. Once you reach Hakata, navigate to 3 Chome-24 Hakata Ekimae, Hakata Ward, Fukuoka. Parking is available at nearby facilities, but note that parking fees may apply.
Train
For those opting for public transportation, start by taking the Nishitetsu Tenjin Omuta Line from Chikugo Station to Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station. This journey takes approximately 30 minutes. From Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station, switch to the subway and take the Kuko Line towards Fukuoka Airport. Get off at Hakata Station. From Hakata Station, it’s a short 10-minute walk to Meiji Park located at 3 Chome-24 Hakata Ekimae. Ensure you have a prepaid IC card or a ticket for the trains, which will cost around 500 yen for the entire trip.
Bus
Alternatively, you can take the Nishitetsu bus from Chikugo City to Fukuoka. Board the bus at the designated bus stop in Chikugo. The ride to Fukuoka usually takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Fukuoka Bus Terminal, head to Hakata Station, which is within walking distance (approximately 15 minutes). From Hakata Station, walk to Meiji Park at 3 Chome-24 Hakata Ekimae. Keep your bus fare handy, as it generally costs between 600 to 800 yen.
