Car
If you are traveling by car from anywhere in Chikugo, you can use the following directions. Start by getting on Route 3 (also known as the Fukuoka-Kumamoto Expressway) towards Kurume. Continue on Route 3 for about 15 minutes, then take the exit towards Kurume. Once on the local roads, follow the signs to Tanushimaru. The tumulus is located at 1394-6 Tanushimarumachi Ishikaki, which you can enter into your GPS for precise navigation. There is a parking area available near the site.

Public Transportation
To reach Tanushimaru Otsuka Tumulus by public transportation, start at Chikugo Station. Take a Nishitetsu train towards Kurume Station. The journey takes about 20 minutes. Once at Kurume Station, transfer to a local bus heading to Tanushimaru area. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Tanushimarumachi Ishikaki stop, which is the closest stop to the tumulus. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk to the site. Be sure to check the bus schedules as they may vary.
