Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Hiroshima. Navigate to Route 54 and follow the signs toward Naka Ward. Once you reach Naka Ward, look for Kaminoboricho. Shukkeien Garden is located at 2-11 Kaminoboricho, Naka Ward, Hiroshima, 730-0014. There is parking available nearby, but be aware that it may incur a fee, typically around 500-1000 yen depending on the duration of your stay.
Public Transportation - Train
For those using public transportation, take the JR Sanyo Line to Hiroshima Station. Once at Hiroshima Station, transfer to the Hiroshima Electric Railway (Hiroden) and take the Line 1 (Hiroden Main Line) in the direction of Hiroshima Port. Get off at the Shukkeien-mae stop. From there, it's a short walk to the garden entrance. The train fare from Hiroshima Station to Shukkeien-mae is approximately 180 yen.
Public Transportation - Bus
Alternatively, you can take a bus from Hiroshima Station. Look for the bus bound for Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and get off at the Shukkeien-mae stop. The bus ride takes about 15-20 minutes and costs around 200 yen. The garden is a short walk from the bus stop.
Walking
If you are already in the downtown area of Hiroshima, Shukkeien Garden is within walking distance from major attractions such as the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. Simply head east from the park, and follow the signs towards Kaminoboricho. The garden entrance is located at 2-11 Kaminoboricho, which is approximately a 15-minute walk.
