The bus stops are located outside the station's East and West Exits. A round trip shuttle bus to Fuji Rock Festival will cost about ¥2,000.

Taxis are readily available outside both the East and West Exits of Echigo-Yuzawa Station. A short taxi ride to a nearby onsen town or ski resort will typically cost between ¥900 and ¥4600, depending on the distance. For example, a taxi to Gala Yuzawa Ski Resort is around ¥900, while a trip to Joetsu Kokusai Ski Resort is approximately ¥4600.
