Many ski resorts offer free shuttle buses from Echigo-Yuzawa Station. Check the schedules at the information center inside the station for resorts like Naeba, Iwappara and Joetsu Kokusai. The bus stops are located outside the station's East and West Exits. A round trip shuttle bus to Fuji Rock Festival will cost about ¥2,000.

A short taxi ride to a nearby onsen town or ski resort will typically cost between ¥900 and ¥4600, depending on the distance.
