Car
If you're traveling by car, start your journey in Etchu and head towards the Chuo Expressway (中央自動車道). Take the expressway towards Gifu. After approximately 1 hour, take the exit towards Gujo (郡上市) and follow the signs for Route 156. Continue on Route 156 for about 30 minutes until you reach Hachimancho. Look for signs directing you to Otaki Limestone Cave. The cave is located at 2298 Hachimancho Akuda, Gujo, Gifu 501-4205. Parking is available near the entrance.
Public Transportation
To reach Otaki Limestone Cave using public transportation, take a train from Etchu to Gujo. You can take the Takayama Main Line to Takayama Station. From Takayama Station, transfer to a local bus heading towards Gujo. The bus ride will take about 40 minutes. Get off at the stop nearest to Otaki Limestone Cave. Be sure to check the bus schedule beforehand, as service may be limited, especially on weekends and holidays.
