Subway
From Hakata Station, take the Kuko Line (Airport Line) towards the airport. Get off at Nakasu-Kawabata Station (about 3 stops). From Nakasu-Kawabata Station, take Exit 1 and walk straight towards the river. Cross the river on the Nakasu Bridge, and continue walking straight. You will reach Jotenji Temple in about 10-15 minutes.

Bus
From Hakata Station, head to the bus terminal located just outside the station. Take the Nishitetsu Bus No. 100 or No. 300 towards Tenjin. Get off at the Hakata Ekimae stop. From there, Jotenji Temple is a short 5-minute walk. Head east on Hakata Ekimae Street, and you will find Jotenji at 1 Chome-29-9.

If you are near the city center, simply walk to Hakata Ekimae (Hakata Station area). From there, head east on Hakata Ekimae Street for about 5-10 minutes. You will see Jotenji Temple on your left at 1 Chome-29-9. Look for the large gate, which is the entrance to the temple.

If you prefer a taxi, simply hail one or ask your hotel to call one for you. Provide the driver with the address: 1 Chome-29-9 Hakata Ekimae, Hakata Ward. The ride from central Fukuoka should take around 10 minutes, depending on traffic.
