Kuzuharaoka Shrine, a peaceful Shinto shrine founded in 1887, is located within Genjiyama Park in Kamakura. The shrine is dedicated to Hino Toshimoto, a court noble and advisor to Emperor Go-Daigo, who was executed on these grounds for his loyalty. Today, the shrine is known as a power spot for those seeking blessings in love and relationships.Visitors can explore the shrine's grounds, which are adorned with seasonal flora, including cherry blossoms in spring, hydrangeas in early summer, and colorful leaves in autumn. A giant ginkgo tree marks the changing seasons. The “Enmusubi Stone” is a popular spot where visitors tie a five-yen coin with a red string between the “male stone” and “female stone” to wish for a happy match. Additionally, a wooden statue of Daikoku-sama symbolizes luck in marriage and prosperity.Other unique traditions include dedicating origami cranes when wishes come true and breaking a small sake cup at the “Masaru Stone” to ward off bad luck.
