Car
If you're driving, start from the Hakone area and head towards Route 1. Follow Route 1 until you reach the intersection with Route 732. Turn onto Route 732 and continue for about 7 km. Look for signs directing you to Sukumogawa. Once you reach Sukumogawa, follow the local signs to 天狗茶屋 (Tengu Chaya) at 293-3 Sukumogawa. There is limited parking available nearby, so be prepared to park in designated areas.
Public Transportation
To reach 天狗茶屋 using public transportation, start by taking the Odakyu Line to Hakone-Yumoto Station. From Hakone-Yumoto, board a bus bound for 'Togendai' or 'Sukumogawa'. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Get off at the Sukumogawa stop. From the bus stop, it's a short 10-minute walk to 天狗茶屋 located at 293-3 Sukumogawa. Keep an eye out for local signage pointing the way.
Combination (Train and Walk)
Take the Odakyu Line from Shinjuku Station to Hakone-Yumoto Station. After arriving, switch to the Hakone Tozan Bus and take the bus towards 'Togendai'. Alight at the Sukumogawa stop. From there, it's a 10-minute walk to 天狗茶屋 at 293-3 Sukumogawa. Make sure to check the bus schedule as service may be limited, especially during off-peak hours.
