Getting There

    If you are driving, head towards Matsumoto city center and follow Route 158 towards Kamikochi. Continue on Route 158 for about 30 km until you reach the Azumi area. Look for signs indicating Kamikochi. The Kamikochi Information Center is located at 4468 Azumi, Matsumoto, Nagano 390-1516, which is just off Route 158. There is parking available at the center for visitors.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach the Kamikochi Information Center by public transportation, take the JR Matsumoto Line from Matsumoto Station to Shin-Shimashima Station. This journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Shin-Shimashima Station, transfer to the Nohi Bus bound for Kamikochi. The bus ride lasts about 40 minutes. Alight at the Kamikochi bus terminal, and from there, it is a short walk to the Kamikochi Information Center located at 4468 Azumi, Matsumoto, Nagano 390-1516.
