Getting there

Train

From Hiroshima Station, take the JR Sanyo Line towards Mihara and get off at the Miyajima-guchi Station. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Miyajima-guchi Station, follow the signs to the ferry terminal, which is a short walk from the station. Purchase a ticket for the ferry to Miyajima Island, which takes approximately 10 minutes.

After taking the ferry to Miyajima Island, disembark at the Miyajima Pier. From the pier, walk straight ahead and you will see signs directing you to Daigan-ji temple. It is approximately a 15-minute walk from the pier. Follow the path that leads you through the scenic streets lined with shops and restaurants, and keep an eye out for the beautiful views of the sea and mountains.
