Car
If you are driving from Sapporo, take the Hokkaido Expressway (道央自動車道) heading towards Asahikawa. After about 2 hours, merge onto Route 40 towards Nakagawa. Continue on Route 40 until you reach Hombetsu. Once in Hombetsu, follow the signs to Honbetsu Park located at Higashimachi, Hombetsu, Nakagawa District, Hokkaido 089-3302. Parking is available at the park.
Public Transportation
From Sapporo Station, take the JR Hakodate Line to Asahikawa Station. Transfer to the JR Sekihoku Line and travel to Nakagawa Station. From Nakagawa Station, take a local bus or taxi to Honbetsu Park, which is approximately 15 minutes away. Make sure to check local bus schedules as they may vary. The bus fare typically costs around 500 yen.
Bus
For those staying in Asahikawa, there are direct buses available to Hombetsu. Check the Hokkaido Chuo Bus website for schedules and fares. The journey takes about 1.5 hours and costs approximately 1,200 yen. Once you arrive in Hombetsu, follow the local signs to Honbetsu Park.
