Car
From Sapporo, take the Hokkaido Expressway (道央自動車道) towards Asahikawa. Exit at Furano IC and follow Route 38 towards Furano. Continue on Route 38 until you reach the intersection with Route 237. Turn left onto Route 237, and follow the signs to Rokugo Forest. The exact address is 1-1 Higashirokugo, Furano, Hokkaido 076-0162. The drive from Sapporo takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. Note that tolls will apply on the expressway, costing around ¥1,500.
Public Transportation
From Sapporo Station, take the JR Limited Express train towards Asahikawa. Get off at Furano Station (approximately 2 hours). From Furano Station, take the Furano Bus (Furano Kankou Bus) towards Rokugo, which takes about 30 minutes. The bus stop for Rokugo Forest is Higashirokugo, which is a short walk from the forest. The total cost for the train and bus journey is approximately ¥3,000.
Taxi from Furano Station
If you prefer not to use public transportation, you can take a taxi from Furano Station directly to Rokugo Forest. The drive takes about 15 minutes and will cost approximately ¥2,000 to ¥3,000, depending on traffic.
