By Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey by navigating to the Biei area in Hokkaido. From Sapporo, take the Hokkaido Expressway (道央自動車道) towards Asahikawa. Exit at the Biei interchange (美瑛IC) and follow Route 237 towards Biei town. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Route 966, then turn left. Follow Route 966 for about 10 minutes until you see signs for Zerubu Hill (ゼルブの丘) on your right. There is a parking area available for visitors, which is free of charge.
By Public Transportation
To reach Zerubu Hill using public transportation, take a train from Sapporo to Biei Station. The journey takes approximately 2.5 hours. Once at Biei Station, you can catch a local taxi to Zerubu Hill, which is about a 15-minute ride away. Alternatively, during the summer months, there may be a bus service directly to Zerubu Hill from Biei Station, but be sure to check the local bus schedules in advance. Taxi fares from Biei Station to Zerubu Hill typically cost around 2,000 to 2,500 yen.
