Abeno Harukas, standing 300 meters tall in Osaka's Abeno district, was the tallest skyscraper in Japan from its completion in 2014 until 2023. The name 'Harukas' comes from an old Japanese word meaning 'to brighten up'. This multi-purpose commercial complex offers a wide array of facilities, including the Harukas 300 Observatory, the Kintetsu Department Store, the Abeno Harukas Art Museum, and the Osaka Marriott Miyako Hotel. The Harukas 300 Observatory occupies the top three floors (58th to 60th) and provides unobstructed 360-degree views of Osaka and beyond. On a clear day, visitors can see as far as Kyoto, the Rokko Mountains, and even Awaji Island. The 58th floor features an open-air plaza and the Sky Garden 300 restaurant. The 60th floor has a panoramic glass-covered corridor. For an additional fee, visitors can take the Heliport Tour for an open-air experience on the roof.
