Opening times, essentials, and a few local tips gathered into one calmer, easier-to-scan planning section.
Public Transport
From central Tokyo, take the JR Yamanote Line to Shimbashi Station. Transfer to the Yurikamome Line and take it to either Odaiba-Kaihinkoen Station or Shibaura-futo Station, depending on which side you want to start your visit. A single ride on the Yurikamome costs from ¥260. Alternatively, the Odaiba Rainbow Bus connects Shinagawa and Tamachi stations to Odaiba for a flat rate of ¥220.
Walking
If you are near Tamachi Station (JR Yamanote Line) or Shibaura-futo Station (Yurikamome Line), you can walk to the Shibaura side entrance of the Rainbow Bridge. From Odaiba-Kaihinkoen Station, it's a 10-minute walk to the Odaiba side entrance. Walking across the bridge takes approximately 20-30 minutes. Note that the walkway is closed on the third Monday of each month and access is limited to certain hours depending on the season.
Taxi/Ride-Share
Taxis and ride-sharing services are readily available in Tokyo and can take you directly to either end of the Rainbow Bridge. A short trip from Shinagawa or Shimbashi Station to the Shibaura side of the bridge will likely cost between ¥1,000 and ¥1,500, depending on traffic.
