    From the center of Izumo, take Route 9 towards Matsue. Continue on Route 9 for about 30 minutes, following the signs for Matsue. Once in Matsue, look for the signs directing you to the Former Samurai Residence (塩見縄手305). Turn left onto Kitahoricho street, and you will find the residence on your right at number 305. There is parking available nearby.

    From Izumo Station, take the JR Sanin Line train towards Matsue Station. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Upon arriving at Matsue Station, exit the station and head to the Matsue City Bus terminal located right outside. Take the Matsue City Bus line that goes to the Matsue Castle area. Get off at the stop 'Shimane Art Museum'. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk; head east on the main road, then turn left onto Kitahoricho street, and you will find the Former Samurai Residence on the right at number 305.
