Car
From Kagoshima city center, head south on Route 3 towards Sakurajima. Follow the signs for Sakurajima Ferry Terminal. Once you reach the terminal, take the ferry to Sakurajima Island, which takes about 15 minutes. Once you arrive on Sakurajima, continue driving along the main road and follow the signs for Inarijinja. It will be on your left side in Sakurajimayokoyamacho.
Public Transportation
Start at Kagoshima Chuo Station. Take the tram line 1 towards 'Sakurajima' and get off at 'Sakurajima Terminal' (approximately a 40-minute ride). From the terminal, you can either walk or take a local bus that heads towards the Inarijinja Shrine. The bus ride will take around 10 minutes. Get off at the stop nearest to Inarijinja, which is well signposted.
