Car
From the center of Kai, head east on Route 20 (Kōshū Highway) towards Kofu. Continue on Route 20 for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Route 143. Take the exit onto Route 143 towards Nakano City. Follow Route 143 for about 10 kilometers until you reach Nakano City. Once in Nakano, look for Honcho 2 Chome. Jōganji Temple is located at 2 Chome-26-6 Honcho, easily visible from the road.
Public Transportation
From Kai Station, take the JR Chuo Line train towards Tokyo. Alight at Nakano Station, which is approximately a 45-minute ride. Once you exit Nakano Station, head northwest towards the Nakano Broadway shopping complex. From there, take a bus or walk for about 15 minutes to reach 2 Chome-26-6 Honcho, where Jōganji Temple is located. You can also use a taxi from Nakano Station for a faster route.
