Getting There

Walking
From Kenrokuen Garden, exit through the main gate (the Ishikawa Gate) and turn left onto the main road. Walk along the road for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with the Kanazawa Castle Park. Continue straight, and you will see a pedestrian path leading you towards the Higashi Chaya District. Follow the signs that say 'Higashi Chaya' and enjoy the scenic walk through the area. The total walking distance is approximately 1 km and should take about 15-20 minutes.

Public Transportation (Bus)
From Kenrokuen Garden, walk to the nearest bus stop, Kenrokuen-shita. Board the Kanazawa City Bus (Routes 1, 2, or 3) towards Higashi Chaya District. The bus ride takes about 10 minutes and costs ¥200. Get off at the Higashi Chaya stop. From there, it's just a short 5-minute walk to the Higashi Chaya District, following the signs pointing towards the historic area.
