Train
From Kyoto Station, take the JR Shinkansen (bullet train) to Shin-Osaka Station. Once at Shin-Osaka Station, transfer to the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line and head towards Nakamozu Station. Get off at Namba Station. From Namba Station, take the Osaka Metro Yotsubashi Line towards Sumiyoshi and get off at Nishi-Nagahori Station. Exit the station and head west on Nishi-Nagahori Street for about 10 minutes until you reach Horie Park at 1 Chome-13 Minamihorie.

Bus
From Kyoto Station, take the Kyoto City Bus #206 towards Nijo-jo. Get off at the last stop, which is Nijo-jo. From there, transfer to the Hankyu Kyoto Line at Nijo Station and take the train to Umeda Station. Once at Umeda Station, take the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line towards Nakamozu and get off at Namba Station. From Namba Station, take the Osaka Metro Yotsubashi Line to Nishi-Nagahori Station. Exit the station and walk west on Nishi-Nagahori Street for about 10 minutes to arrive at Horie Park.

Walking
If you are located in central Kyoto, you can walk to Kyoto Station and then follow the train or bus instructions above. Alternatively, if you are close to the river, you can walk south towards the Kamo River and follow it westward until you reach the area near Namba Station, then head north to Horie Park. This walk may take about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your starting point.

You can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Kyoto. Ride towards the Kamo River and follow the river south until you reach the intersection with the Osaka Road. Head west on the Osaka Road until you reach the area of Namba. Continue north to find your way to Horie Park, which is about a 30-40 minute ride from central Kyoto.
