Getting There

Train

From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line towards Osaka Namba. Get off at Takada Station (approx. 30 minutes). At Takada Station, transfer to the Nankai Main Line towards Namba. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at Sumiyoshi Taisha Station. From the station, it’s about a 10-minute walk to Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine. Exit the station and head northwest on Sumiyoshi Street, following the signs to the shrine.
Bus

From Nara Park, walk to Nara Bus Terminal. Take the bus bound for Osaka, and get off at Sumiyoshi Taisha (approximately 45 minutes). After disembarking, the shrine is right in front of you. Just follow the path leading to the entrance of Sumiyoshi Taisha.
Walking

If you are near the center of Nara, you can enjoy a scenic walk. Head towards the Nara National Museum, then follow the road leading to Sanjo-dori. Continue straight until you reach Kintetsu Nara Station. From there, you can take the Kintetsu Nara Line to Takada Station, and then follow the train instructions provided above.
