Getting There

Public Transport

From Shin-Kiba Station (JR Keiyo Line, Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line, or Rinkai Line), take the Toei bus Kiba Line 11 to Wakasu Camping Park Mae. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to Wakasu Seaside Park, where you can access the bridge's pedestrian walkway. A single bus fare costs approximately ¥220.

From Shin-Kiba Station, a taxi to Wakasu Seaside Park will cost approximately ¥2,000 - ¥3,000, depending on traffic. The journey takes around 10-15 minutes. Taxis are readily available at the station.

The Tokyo Gate Bridge, officially opened on February 12, 2012, is a prominent landmark in Tokyo Bay, connecting Wakasu in Koto Ward with the outer side of the central breakwater. Its distinctive truss design has earned it the nickname "Dinosaur Bridge" as it resembles two dinosaurs facing each other.This impressive structure is not only a vital transportation link, facilitating smoother transit for logistic vehicles to Tokyo Port, but also a recreational hotspot. The bridge is 2,618 meters long and 87.8 meters high, with a central span of 440 meters. Its height was intentionally limited to accommodate air traffic to and from nearby Haneda Airport.The Tokyo Gate Bridge features a pedestrian walkway accessible from Wakasu Seaside Park, offering stunning views of the Tokyo skyline, Tokyo Bay, and, on clear days, Mount Fuji. The walkway is open daily from 10:00 to 17:00, with last entry at 16:30. The bridge is illuminated from sunset to midnight, with monthly lighting themes showcasing traditional Japanese colors.While cyclists are not allowed to ride their bikes across the bridge, they can dismount and walk their bicycles on the pedestrian path. Wakasu Seaside Park, located at the bridge's northern end, offers additional amenities such as restrooms, vending machines, picnic areas, and a campground.
