  • Public Transportation

    From Kyoto Station, take the JR San-in Line (also known as the JR Sagano Line) towards Saga-Arashiyama. The train ride takes approximately 15 minutes. Get off at Saga-Arashiyama Station. Once you arrive, exit the station and follow the signs for the Arashiyama area. You will need to walk approximately 15 minutes to reach the Arashiyama Monkey Park Iwatayama. The path will lead you through the beautiful Arashiyama district, and you will see signs directing you to the park.

    If you are driving from central Kyoto, take the R38 road towards Arashiyama. Follow the signs for Arashiyama and soon you will see directions to the Arashiyama Monkey Park Iwatayama. Parking is available at several locations near the entrance of the park, but be aware that parking can fill up quickly, especially on weekends. Plan to arrive early to secure a spot!

    If you prefer a more direct option, you can take a taxi from Kyoto Station directly to the Arashiyama Monkey Park Iwatayama. The taxi ride will take around 30 minutes, depending on traffic.
