Getting There

• Public Transportation

  From Osaka Station, take the JR Kobe Line to Sannomiya Station, which takes about 30 minutes. Once at Sannomiya Station, transfer to the Subway Seishin-Yamate Line and get off at Kitano Koen Station. From there, it's a 10-minute walk to Kitano Tenman Shrine. Follow the signs towards Kitanocho and enjoy the scenic walk through the Kitano district, known for its charming Western-style houses.

  If you are driving from Osaka, take the Hanshin Expressway Route 3. Follow the signs to Kobe and exit at the Ikuta Road exit. Continue on Route 2 towards Sannomiya. Once you reach Sannomiya, follow the signs to Kitanocho. There are parking facilities available near the shrine, but they may charge around ¥300 per hour. The journey from Osaka to Kitano Tenman Shrine typically takes about 40-60 minutes depending on traffic.

  From Kyoto, take the JR Tokaido Line to Osaka Station, then transfer to the JR Kobe Line to Sannomiya Station. Once there, switch to the Subway Seishin-Yamate Line and get off at Kitano Koen Station. It's a 10-minute walk from the station to Kitano Tenman Shrine. The total travel time is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

  If you prefer a direct route, you can take a taxi from Sannomiya Station to Kitano Tenman Shrine. This ride will take about 10 minutes and will cost approximately ¥1,000 to ¥1,500. Taxis are abundant in the area, making it a convenient option if you're traveling in a group or with luggage.
